Craig is actively involved in the local community – volunteering in groups such as Generations in Jazz and a committee member of numerous local organisations.
Craig, with his wife Cathy and their two children are long-time locals who call Mount Gambier home. Many know Craig through his time as the Station Manager of the Mount Gambier Meteorological Office for over a decade, where he regularly spoke with community groups, schools and the media. Prior to coming to Mount Gambier, Craig and Cathy lived an adventurous lifestyle with postings at weather stations in Antarctica and outback communities with the Bureau of Meteorology.
As part of the Marshall Liberal Team, Craig is determined to put in place a moratorium on fracking in the South East. He understands that the agricultural sector is the bedrock of our economy, and most importantly has the potential to drive massive export-led growth and job creation into the future. The State Liberals moratorium on fracking will provide certainty for local farmers and businesses to invest and grow within our region.
Craig strongly supports the Marshall Liberal Team’s “Royalties for Regions” policy which ensures regional communities get their fair share, with 30 per cent of mining royalty revenue reinvested into the Regional Roads and Infrastructure Fund.
Craig is working hard to get South Australia back on track – with a strong focus on boosting exports, promoting tourism, delivering essential services, facilities and infrastructure upgrades to ensure a prosperous future for the South East.
He is passionate about representing the community and is looking forward to working with local residents on the issues they care about. If Craig can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact him.
