Dan Cregan is a local solicitor and respected community leader who has the skills and energy to deliver for the Adelaide Hills.
Working with local community groups such as the Mount Barker Football Club, Hungry-no-more, the Show Society and the Hans Heysen Foundation, Dan knows that it is organisations like these and the people who are part of them that make Kavel such a great place to live.
Known for his energetic approach, Dan is active in the community, listening and working with people on the issues they care about. Dan will fight to get Adelaide Hills communities their fair share of infrastructure and services. He is determined to see our roads improved, sporting facilities upgraded and hospitals equipped with the services they need.
Dan is a proud member of the Marshall Liberal Team and a strong advocate for the GlobeLink plan which will reduce trucks on the South Eastern Freeway and remove heavy freight trains from the Hills. GlobeLink will also reduce noise, congestion and bushfire risk, as well as provide businesses with the competitive advantage they need to get premium Adelaide Hills products to international markets via a new freight-hub and airport at Monarto.
Prior to returning home with his partner Jen and building a house in Mount Barker, Dan has had valuable real-world experience. After graduating from Adelaide University, Dan was appointed Associate to the Chief Justice of South Australia, worked as an Australian youth development ambassador in Jakarta, studied further at Cambridge University and worked throughout Australia and Asia advising global businesses in an international law firm. The skills Dan has gained from these experiences make him a formidable advocate for the Adelaide Hills.
