Lachlan Clyne grew up in Ormond Avenue, Millswood. Lachlan has over a decade of experience in Local Government, including successfully leading Unley Council as Mayor since 2010.
Whilst still at school, Lachlan worked in a factory as an embroidery machine operator and has since held a number of jobs in hospitality, retail, manufacturing and the Army Reserves, where he was Platoon Commander based at Keswick Barracks on Anzac Highway.
The community within Badcoe taught Lachlan many of life’s most valuable lessons. They say it takes a village to raise a child and it was in the suburbs of Badcoe that Lachlan grew up. He played junior basketball with the Forestville Eagles and even played a few cheeky games with the Goodie Saints Football Club.
Lachlan, his wife Jocelyn and 18-month-old daughter Matilda live in Plympton Park close to the Forbes, Kurralta Park and Castle Plaza shopping centre where they shop.
His deep and continuing relationship with the people, community and institutions of Badcoe has motivated Lachlan to run for Parliament.
“The people of Badcoe are hard working, aspirational, yet far from pretentious. It is home to many young families including plenty of first home owners,” says Lachlan.
If elected to Parliament, Lachlan will be a strong voice, to stand up for the important issues affecting families, jobs and communities.
Lachlan will be focussed on finding solutions to address people’s needs and concerns.
He will be part of a Marshall Liberal Government that brings trust and hope back to the community, delivers more affordable and reliable baseload power and reduces the cost of living pressures on families.
