No state bank tax

What we’ll do

A Marshall Liberal Government will not hurt families and businesses with the $420 million state bank tax that Labor wanted to inflict on you.

We will choose instead to reduce taxes and charges to attract investment, grow jobs, and lower your cost of living.

Why we’re doing it

While the Liberals stopped Labor inflicting this tax hike recently, make no mistake a re-elected Labor Government in South Australia would no doubt try again to impose this tax.

And SA Best could help Labor because Nick Xenophon initially supported the bank tax.

We know that South Australian households and businesses are already struggling with ever-increasing taxes and fees and that’s why a Liberal Government will guarantee South Australia doesn’t get a state bank tax, or any other new taxes.
